  • Do I need prior experience in insurance or pricing to apply?

    No, you don’t need prior insurance or pricing experience to become a Pathfinder™. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, including STEM and maths graduates, career returners and ex-forces personnel. Our selection process focuses on aptitude, attitude and potential to succeed in the insurance pricing sector.

  • Is the training program free?

    Yes, the Pathfinders™ Academy training is fully funded. There are no costs or exit fees associated with our programme.

  • Will I be paid during training?

    Yes. Pathfinders™ receive a salary throughout the 10-week training period. Upon successful completion and deployment to a client, your salary will be adjusted to reflect your new role.

  • What does the training cover?

    Our comprehensive 10-week Pathfinders™ programme includes:

    - Technical skills: GLMs, Radar, Python, SQL

    - Insurance pricing tools and methodologies

    - Regulatory frameworks and compliance

    - Business communication and stakeholder management

    - Real-world deployment and testing practices

  • Is the training conducted remotely or in person?

    Most of the training is delivered remotely, however, so that you get the most from your training, some elements of the course will require you to attend in person which will offer you the opportunity to share ideas and knowledge with other Pathfinders™. We provide all necessary resources to ensure an interactive and engaging learning experience. 

  • Will I be guaranteed a job after training?

    While we cannot guarantee employment, our programme is designed to align with industry demand. We actively work to place successful Pathfinders™ into roles with leading insurers. Your performance during training and interviews will play a significant role in securing a position.

  • What support will I receive during and after training?

    All Pathfinders™ will have access to:

    - Dedicated mentors and trainers who are insurance pricing experts

    - Continuous professional development resources

    - A supportive community of peers and alumni

    - Ongoing pastoral and career support throughout your deployment

  • Can I work or study alongside the training?

    The training is intensive and full-time. We recommend that participants do not engage in other work or study commitments during this period to fully benefit from the program.

  • What if I need to withdraw from the program?

    We understand that circumstances can change. If you need to withdraw, please communicate with us as soon as possible. We will discuss options, which may include deferring your participation to a future cohort.

  • Can I apply if I reside overseas?

    Our Pathfinders™ Academy is open to people from the UK and those who have a right to work in the UK. Background screening and right-to-work checks will be required before you are able to be enrolled on our programme.
